Since our founding, more than half a million CaringBridge websites have been created and it’s become an indispensable part of many peoples lives. Every 6 minutes, a new CaringBridge website is created for someone experiencing a health crisis.

Primary Objective of Position

To develop, implement and measure strategic integrated marketing campaigns focused on customer awareness, acquisition, retention and engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with customer experience leadership to create annual integrated marketing plans.

  • Develops and executes integrated marketing initiatives using digital channels (web, mobile, social) designed to raise awareness and adoption of CaringBridge.

  • Facilitates relationships and projects with external partners as assigned (disease advocacy, insurer, medical clinics, product partnerships i.e. Hallmark, GoFundMe, healthcare outreach affiliate marketing partners). Leverages research/data to define opportunities, works with product owner on product enhancements and leads marketing plans as assigned.

  • Develops and executes customer relationship marketing strategies, programs and events to drive awareness and growth, including volunteer outreach

  • Provides recommendations and best practices for emerging digital marketing opportunities and tactics that assist in achieving CaringBridge’s organizational goals.

  • Ensures brand consistency (message and visual) across channels of communication.

  • Stays current on market, competition and trends including tactics, field concepts and practices applying them to strategies when applicable.

  • Establishes and sustains relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results to maximize organizational effectiveness.

  • Keeps Manager/Supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • 3 years of experience in digital marketing position of similar responsibilities.
  • Strong presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to integrate social media into broader marketing campaigns; experience in integrating content into multiple distribution channels.
  • Proven track record of listening and engaging with the online community on behalf of a brand.
  • Excellent understanding of the diverse needs of internet users.
  • Must be highly creative, a team player, and able to work well at a high pace under tight deadlines.
  • Strong self-starter with a record of success.
  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to cope with the rapid pace and constant change associated with the industry.
  • Ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, social network tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and digital marketing technologies (content management systems such as WordPress).
  • Familiarity with customer direct marketing and affiliate marketing practices. Non-profit experience desired.
